This holiday honors and celebrates those who have passed away, focusing on joy rather than mourning. It is primarily observed in Mexico and has roots in Indigenous cultural practices. The celebration is also recognized by individuals of Mexican heritage and in various regions of Central America.

The observance included a display from Caldera High School, which shared their ofrenda and lessons related to the holiday, contributing to the day's significance.
