Guided Hike and Nature Fun at Goat Cave!

A guided hike and nature activity will take place at Goat Cave Preserve in Austin, Texas, on Saturday, October 26. The event is organized by the Austin Parks and Recreation Department and is scheduled from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
The morning will begin at 9:00 AM with a "Skins and Skulls" touch table, allowing attendees to observe animal adaptations. At 9:30 AM, participants will embark on a guided hike along a trail, exploring some cave entrances within the preserve. A bat-themed craft activity will conclude the event at 10:30 AM.
The preserve is located at 3900 Deer Lane, Austin, TX 78748. The hike will cover approximately one mile over rocky terrain. Attendees are encouraged to bring water, snacks, and sun protection. Parking is available in a rocky area for trucks and SUVs, while cars can park in the neighborhood along Coastal Drive and Iriona Bend.
Event guidelines include no pets allowed in the preserve and no restroom facilities on site. All ages are welcome.
