Houston Youth Symposium Empowers Future Career Pathways
Nearly 800 youth, teens, and their families attended the Youth & Teen Symposium on Saturday, April 5, at Houston Community College's Coleman Campus. The event, held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1919 Pressler St., focused on exploring career paths and connecting families to resources for higher education and the workforce.
Houston Community College partnered with Houston Independent School District (HISD), Fort Bend Independent School District (FBISD), and the City of Houston to host the free symposium. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about career opportunities, gain tools for making future decisions, and access community resources.
Several community partners and sponsors, including the City of Houston, Houston Parks and Recreation Department, FBISD, HISD, PrimeWay Federal Credit Union, AT&T, and TechConnect, contributed to the success of the event.
