### Winter Walk + Roll to School Day Scheduled for February 5 in Bend, Oregon

Bend-La Pine Schools have announced their annual Winter Walk + Roll to School Day, set for Wednesday, February 5. Families and students from three local elementary schools are encouraged to participate in this event, despite the chilly weather.

Participants are invited to bundle up in snow or rain boots and walk or roll to school, promoting fresh air and physical activity to start the day. Those who take part can log their trip at [commuteoptions.org/winterwalkday](http://commuteoptions.org/winterwalkday) for a chance to win prizes.

The event will feature two school communities walking and rolling together at designated meeting locations between 7:00 and 7:15 AM:

- **Buckingham Elementary School** students will meet at Big Sky Park, 21690 Neff Rd., Bend.

- **Ponderosa Elementary School** students will meet at Pine Nursery Park, 3750 NE Purcell Blvd., Bend.

- **Pine Ridge Elementary School** students will meet at Renaissance Ridge Park, Princeton Loop, Bend.

This annual event is aimed at encouraging healthy habits and building community spirit among families and schools.
