**Bend Fire & Rescue Promotes Firewise Program for Wildfire Preparedness**

Bend Fire & Rescue in Bend, Oregon has shared information about the Firewise program and its success in the local community. This program is designed to help neighborhoods prepare for and reduce the risk of wildfires.

Currently, Bend has over 50 communities that have achieved recognition as Firewise neighborhoods. The Firewise program encourages residents to take proactive steps to safeguard their homes and surroundings against wildfire risks. Bend Fire & Rescue is encouraging other neighborhoods to participate and become officially recognized as Firewise communities as well.
