Thanksgiving Waste Collection Schedule Changes Announced

Thanksgiving is approaching, and there will be changes to the waste collection schedule in Austin, Texas.
Trash, recycling, and composting collections that are typically scheduled for Thursday, November 28, will be moved to Friday, November 29. As a result, collections that are usually done on Friday will take place on Saturday, November 30.
Additionally, the Recycle & Reuse Drop-off Center will be closed on both Thursday and Friday. The Austin Water Hornsby Bend Biosolids Management Plant will also be closed on Thanksgiving, which affects yard trimmings and large brush drop-off.
Residents can check their collection schedules at any time using the Austin Recycles app or by visiting AustinTexas.gov/myschedule.
