**Gates Avenue Closure for Repairs in Geneva**
The City of Geneva has announced that Gates Avenue is currently closed for repairs. During this time, residents and motorists are advised to use detours or alternate routes.
Construction will be conducted in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations concerning construction and traffic control. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining traffic flow through the construction area and ensuring safe conditions between and adjacent to work areas.
Traffic control signs will be strategically placed according to a mapped plan that reflects traffic control needs. Additional signs may be placed by the contractor as necessary for further traffic control.
Lane widths during the construction will adhere to the specifications detailed in the project plans. The contractor is also required to coordinate work operations involving gates and the designated detour route.
Updates on the construction progress and any changes will be provided as they become available. For more information, the alternative route plan can be viewed [here](https://cityofgenevany.com/DocumentCenter/View/2031/Gates-Ave-Alternative-Route-Plan).
