**Severe Storms Expected in Western New York on Sunday, October 6, 2024**

Severe storms are forecasted to develop across far western New York on Sunday afternoon, with the potential for isolated severe weather events. The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued an outlook valid until 7 AM CDT on October 7, 2024.

Storms are expected to begin around 4 or 5 PM and will move through the Genesee Valley and Finger Lakes region before exiting the area by approximately 10 PM. The main threats associated with these storms include isolated wind gusts reaching up to 60 MPH and the possibility of large hail. Isolated tornadoes are also a potential concern, although flash flooding is not anticipated.

Residents are advised to stay informed about the weather conditions and have multiple methods in place to receive warning notifications. The warning emphasizes that when thunder is heard, individuals should seek shelter indoors.
