Syracuse Fire Department Installs Lifesaving Smoke Detectors

The Syracuse Fire Department is offering to install smoke detectors in one and two-family homes in the City of Syracuse. Properly installed and maintained smoke detectors are essential for reducing fire-related deaths and injuries. They provide crucial early warning during a fire, allowing residents to escape safely. According to fire department reports, having a working smoke detector can cut the chances of dying in a reported fire by 50%.
