North Port's Emergency Management Aids Hurricane Helene Victims

Staff Report / NPlocal.org

The City of North Port's Emergency Management team is actively assisting other communities affected by Hurricane Helene. Since North Port was not severely impacted, Deputy Emergency Manager Mike Nevarez has been deployed to Madison County to support their Emergency Management efforts. Additionally, Emergency Manager Stacy Aloisio is assisting Sarasota County Emergency Services and the Sarasota County Government as they handle the effects on the barrier islands.

This initiative follows the support North Port received from various agencies following Hurricane Ian. The City is now focused on providing help to those in need.
