Bend-La Pine Schools Celebrates Five National Merit Finalists

Bend-La Pine Schools has announced that five of its high school seniors have been designated as National Merit Scholarship semifinalists. The semifinalists include Aaron Goyal, William Mowry, and Sanika Patterson from Bend Senior High.
The students qualified for this honor by achieving high scores in the 2023 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Qualifying Test. Semifinalists represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors. The final award recipients will be announced in spring 2024.
Bend-La Pine Schools commended the finalists for their leadership and academic accomplishments. Further information about the remaining two semifinalists will be released in the coming days.
