Melissa Barnes Dholakia Named Champion for Students

At the recent Bend-La Pine Schools Board of Directors meeting, Melissa Barnes Dholakia was recognized as the Champion for Students for the month of September. She served on the School Board from 2019 to 2024 and held the position of Board Chair starting in 2021.
The meeting highlighted her leadership and dedication to the Bend-La Pine Schools community. Her role as School Board Chair focused on vision, accountability, policy, and advocacy, contributing to the success of students within the district. The community expressed appreciation for her commitment to academics, wellness, inclusivity, and belonging.
