City of Bend's Water Filtration Facility Offers Tours

The City of Bend's Water Filtration Facility contains long yellow water filtration pipes, each filled with 6,350 hollow-fiber membranes similar to straws. There are a total of 578 of these pipes, making a combined 3,670,300 membranes in the facility. The filtration process helps provide clean and safe drinking water, protecting against potential water quality issues. The facility filters up to 11.8 million gallons of water daily, removing particles too small to be seen by the naked eye. Curious residents can attend tours of the Water Filtration Facility, with only two tours left this season on September 13 and October 11.
