Today, Mayor Walsh of Syracuse made a proclamation at Thornden Park to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Syracuse Rose Society. The Rose Society, founded in 1911, is a non-profit organization with a mission to promote, educate, and celebrate the world of roses. The event was organized by the Syracuse Rose Society and the Parks and Recreation department.
