Wood Library Releases 2025 Top Borrowed Books List

Wood Library in Canada has released the list of its most borrowed books for 2025. The statistics cover several categories, including adult, early adult, teen, and children, with further divisions into fiction, graphic novels, nonfiction, and picture books.

In Adult Fiction the top titles are The Crash by Freida McFadden, The Teacher by Freida McFadden, and Identity Unknown by Patricia Cornwell. For Adult Graphic Novels the most popular are How do we Relationship? 1 by Tamifull, Amazons, Abolitionists, and Activists by Mikki Kendall, and Maus by Art Spiegelman. Adult Nonfiction readers favored Half Baked Harvest Quick & Cozy by Tieghan Gerard, Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green, and Black Saturday by Trey Yingst.

Among Early Adult titles, the most borrowed books are A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Mass, Hooked by Emily McIntire, and The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by Victoria Schwab. In the Teen Fiction category, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, and As Good as Dead by Holly Jackson have been the favorites. Teen Graphic Novels include Bendy Dreams Come to Life by Adrienne Kress, Coven by Jennifer Dugan, and Hooky by Mi­riam Bonastre Tur, while Teen Nonfiction sees Minecraft: Guide to Survival by Thomas McBrien, 3D Printing and Maker Lab for Kids by Eldrid Sequeira, and Stephen King: His Life, Work, and Influences by Bev Vincent on the list.

For Children Fiction, the most borrowed titles are Diary of a Wimpy Kid books by Jeff Kinney, The Wild Robot Protects by Peter Brown, and Odder by Katherine Applegate. In the Children Graphic Novels section, Dog Man books by Dav Pilkey, Warriors: The Prophecies Begin by Erin Hunter, and Baby Sitter's Club: Kristy and the Snobs by Ann Martin lead the category. Readers of Children Nonfiction preferred Sharks: 300 Fin-nomenal Facts to Dive Into by the National Geographic Society, A Dinosaur a Day by Miranda Smith, and An Anthology of Aquatic Life by Sam Hume. Lastly, among Children Picture Books, the favorites include Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus by Mo Willems, Creepy Carrots by Aaron Reynolds, and Unicorns are the Worst by Alex Willan.

The list shows consistency as several titles appear on the list two years in a row.
