Pianist and composer Conrad Tao will perform at Nashville Symphony's Schermerhorn Center on January 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. during a concert titled John Adams’ Century Rolls. The program will pay tribute to the golden age of piano music with a genre-bending approach. Tao, known for his work with traditional and cross-genre repertoire, has appeared as a soloist with leading orchestras at major venues around the world. His recent collaborations include work with dancer Caleb Teicher, vocalist Charmaine Lee, artist Avram Finkelstein, choreographer Miguel Gutierrez, and The Westerlies. Tao is also a member of the Junction Trio, alongside Stefan Jackiw and Jay Campbell. His awards include the Avery Fisher Career Grant, the Gilmore Young Artist Award, and a New York Dance and Performance “Bessie” Award. The event will be Nashville Symphony’s first classical performance of the year, with tickets available for purchase.
