Wake County Government in Raleigh, North Carolina, announced the upcoming biannual cleanup drive organized by the North Carolina Department of Transportation. The event, known as the LitterSweepNC, will take place from April 12 to April 26, 2025.

Volunteer coordinators are available locally to help with the cleanup effort. Interested residents can find volunteer forms, posters, and telephone listings on the ncdot.gov/littersweep website. Participants are encouraged to share photos of their clean-up activities using the hashtag #LitterSweepNC.
