**Canyon County Ambulance District to Hold Open House on Levy Override Proposal**

Caldwell, ID – The Canyon County Ambulance District will host an open house on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event will take place at the Administration/Training Building located at 6116 Graye Lane, Caldwell, Idaho.

The open house aims to inform the public about the proposed levy override that will appear on the November 2024 ballot. If approved by voters, the levy will fund several important initiatives, including:

- Rebuilding Station 41 in South Nampa

- Hiring additional paramedic staff

- Constructing Station 55 in South Caldwell

- Purchasing additional ambulances

Currently, the district levies a tax of $10.14 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value each year. The proposed levy would increase that amount to $25.10 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value annually. This would result in an estimated increase of $14.96 per $100,000 per year for taxpayers.

Residents are encouraged to attend this open house to ask questions and learn more about the proposed changes and their potential impact on the community. For those unable to attend on Wednesday, a second open house will be held on Saturday, November 2.
